UCT Catalytic Fall 2026
On October 2 and 3, 2026, the 3rd annual UCT Catalytic Fall seminar took place, this year focusing on the theme "Scale-up of Catalysts & Industrial Research."
As part of the program, two students from the ACFC group and two students from the 2DCAT group presented their research. Among them, Lukáš Koláčný presented his contribution on "Double-tilt Electron Tomography and HR-TEM of Au/TiO₂ Raspberry-Colloid Inverse Opal Photocatalysts," and Míša Hlinková presented her work on "Copper Catalysts Supported on 2D Materials for Selective Oxidation of Benzyl Alcohol."
The second day of the seminar was dedicated to lectures by invited industry experts. Beatriz Luna Murillo from Shell and Christian Hulteberg from Hulteberg Chemistry & Engineering AB shared their expertise on industrial catalysis and scale-up challenges.
The seminar was jointly organized by the GreenCats research group and the Department of Organic Technology. We would like to thank all the speakers, participants, and organizers for another successful edition of the UCT Catalytic Fall!
